Insect Shield® Pad Cover

The soft mat cover made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton with black, water-resistant parts made of ripstop nylon on the underside is a comfortable, hygienic cover for all common thermal air mats, such as e.g. B. those of Therm-a-Rest or Exped. The cover not only offers a pleasantly soft surface to lie on, due to its impregnation with Insect Shield, it also provides effective protection against mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, fleas, sand fleas and midges.

Insect Shield® is a revolutionary technology which deters insects by using an EPA-approved, molecularly-bonded application of Permethrin. This long-lasting treatment [effective up to 70 washes], offers scientifically-proven protection against; mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, fleas, chiggers and midges [no-seeums] - many of which can carry dangerous diseases such as malaria or Lyme disease. Insect Shield® is colorless and odorless and is effective without needing to apply chemicals [such as DEET] directly onto the skin.
